S/V Management, Maintenance & Cruise Captain
Private Use Vessel
Eastern Caribbean
Captain a 2010 Leopard 46' catamaran. While living aboard, I do the basic maintenaince and repairs, keep her parts inventory, a log of work done/needed, and expense reports. I oversee any maintenance above my paygrade hired out. I sail her leisurely, to/from where the owner would like to sail and with the owner.
October 2024 - May 2025

Day Charter Captain
Sail Acadia
Southwest Harbour, Maine
Captain 2 -3 hour tours on either a wooden Friendslip Sloop, Alice, built in 1899 she is 42 feet long with sprit or a wooden 1986 Chummy Rich 33' foot Lobster boat. In this role, I was able to practice close range radar and navigation with the sudden rise and fall of fog in Maine. There are plenty of small islands and rocking bottoms to navigate. Most of my miles are offshore or coastal with a beginning and end at an inlet, port or waterway only, so navigating in a large bay dotted with islands was a good experience. This was also a great opportunity to practice docking with different types of boats more often. It was a great confidence boost, especially docking 3-21 clients 3-4 times a day in all weather conditions.
